About Ewa:

Ewa’s adventure with billiards started when she was already 18. Even though she began that late, billiards has become an indispensable part of her life. It was love at first hit. She took her first steps in billiards in Muks Iks Tarnów Club, Poland. There she learnt the basic rules of this game. In 2002 she won her first tournament, which was the Junior Polish 8-Ball Championships. The same year she sensationally joined the Polish National Team, winning a Silver medal at the Senior Polish 9-Ball Championships. In 2003 she played in her first Womens European Championships and finished in ninth place. The following year she won the Senior Polish 14/1 (straight pool) Championships. As a member of the Polish National Team she continued, until 2008, to represent her country during international events.

Unfortunately, just before going to European Championships 2008, she suffered an injury which forced her to stop playing the game. Thank to the fact that billiards is so deep-rooted in her heart, she managed to overcome the obstacles and despite the four-year break she came back to be one of the best billiards players in the country. She has been taking part in tournaments for two years once again. She has won titles of Poland’s Vice-Champion twice. She has also regularly been present on the podium of  Women’s Poland Cup. It was not easy to return after such a long break.  Hard work, belief in her own skills, and support received from the loved ones helped her to be one of the best once again.
