About Amy:
I guess you would consider me to be a late bloomer. I did not become serious about playing pool until later in life. My husband Joe and I were busy raising our two boys and we both served in the US Army.  Once we returned home from service, I was asked by a relative to join a local pool league.  I did…and I was hooked!  I have always been a very competitive person and knew this was something I could do. I spent the next few years practicing, trying to advance my skills, and finally built up enough courage to play in a tournament.  I did terrible but I knew, if could just work hard and practice, I could beat some of those players.

I spent a lot of time watching, listening, and practicing to become a better player.  I have now been playing for about 15 years and can’t imagine my life without it.  My love for this sport is real, and my desire to be a better player is very strong. It has taken a lot of help from many people in my life to get to this point. Their influence and guidance continues to point me in the direction to becoming the best player I could be.  I am very appreciative for what this sport has given me, and I try to return the respect it deserves not only on, but also off the table. I have so much left to learn about this sport and I’m up for the challenge!

Quote from Amy about OB:
"I have found while playing this sport I love, consistency is important. Not only in my playing ability but my equipment. I have found playing with OB Cues for the past 10 years, that it carries not only a consistent but accurate hit. Thank you OB Cues for making a great product."

Goals in pool:
“I guess my goals would be to continue working hard. Every year I am continuously learning and growing.  I have a desire to get over that next hurdle to advance my playing ability.”
