OB Cues Cue Weight Adjustment

Adjusting the weight of you new OB Cue is a very simple process.

You will need a couple of things to get started:

A Scale of some kind to weigh the cue
A ¼” Allen wrench that is long enough to reach the bolts (9”)
An assortment of weights. (1/2x13 Allen set screws)

  • First, weigh the cue to see what the current weight is so that you will know how much you need to adjust.
  • Remove the rubber bumper by unscrewing it from the cue.
  • Insert the wrench into the butt of the cue and remove the current weight bolt. It should be tight, and it may be stiff to turn, but keep turning and it will come out.
  • Weigh the bolt to see what new bolt or bolts you will need.
  • Thread the bolt or bolts in by hand for the first few turns, and then use the wrench to completely bottom the bolt. All bolts must be tight against the bottom! Don’t over tighten to the point of stripping the threads!
  • Re-install the rubber bumper, and you are ready to enjoy your cue again!

Feel free to adjust the weight on your cue as often as you need to. Keep in mind that the threads are wood and they can be worn out if the weight is changed excessively, or the bolts are over tightened.
