Consistency: The Mark of a Superior Shaft

The patent pending design of OB cue shafts provides for an extremely consistent hit. When the shaft performs the same way every time, confidence is easy. You just know what it's going to do.

OB Cue shafts are constructed using 6 "Stress Relieved" segments. We call this SR-6 construction. Each of these segments are made of laminated hard rock maple, and are machined in a way that cuts away most of the stress. SR-6 construction means our cue shafts start straighter, and stay straighter.

Also, OB billiard cue shafts provide for consistent stiffness no matter how you rotate them in your hands. The reason for this is that our laminations radiate from the center, giving no cross grain or laminations. All solid wood and "Flat" laminated shafts have grain or laminations that run across the cue shaft, or cross grain. Therefore, these billiard cue shafts will be more stiff when bent against the grain or flat laminations than when bent along the grain or laminations. You will get varying stiffness depending on how the cue shaft is rotated. Not so with an OB cue shaft!

Straighter, more stable shafts play more consistently, which leads to more confidence, and everyone plays better when they're more confident.
